Today I began trying a technique called ghost lighting. The idea is to be in the dark with your camera set on a long exposure of 15' or more. Use your wireless remote to start the shutter and quickly shine a light source on and off your body as you move around. This SHOULD create a ghost-like affect.

Today was definitely a full one. Ironically, both of my shoots today involved little girls who just turned 4. Miss Londyn had a photo shoot at Atlantic Station, while Miss Kennedy had a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's. Happy Birthday Ladies!

Marist inbounds the basketball and brings it up the court...#1 passes it to #11...#11 swings it back to #1...#1 kicks it over to Quinton...Quinton catches the ball on the perimeter...He drives to the basket..HE GOES UP AND...(Twoine jumps up in front of the camera and blocks the shot. Who knows what happened lol)

Seems like just yesterday I was heading home from the hospital with my little guys, but they aren't babies anymore. I spent a few hours with some good friends and their newborn today and although I miss the "baby days" I truly enjoy these "independent days"!!

Today I had a shoot with an up and coming artist by the name of XIX. His manager and stylist are good friends of mine, so this was a really fun shoot. We used a couple different locations in Atlanta for the shots.

It starts as our usual Saturday with basketball games, but ends with a nice dinner & a movie with a group of friends. Yesterday the movie Red Tails came out whi/ch is a motion picture based on the true events of the Tuskegee Airmen. This was a really good movie and I highly recommend it!!

Today was pretty uneventful. I went to the salon for a nice wash and press and I began learning how to braid!! Now this might seem trivial to some, but this is MAJOR for me and my natural hair. :-)

As I sit here and reflect on today all I can do is smile. Today my son David, had a GREAT game! It was his 4th game of the season, but his best game thus far ending with 16pts/16rebs. He seemed more confident in himself and sure of how to handle game situations. It was a proud moment and I could hardly contain myself on the sidelines. "I'm so proud of you!"

Today my entire family went to this nice cozy seafood restaurant for my father's birthday dinner. In usual fashion Devin is giving us ALL the joy his second year of life has to offer. This is his response to hearing "No, you can't go sit with Paw Paw right now." You have to love these little personalities!! :-)

Today I embark on a new photography journey thanks to Devin Henderson of Divyne Photography!! <3 We have challenged ourselves to capture a different image every day for the next 365 to assist with improving our photography skills as we aspire to be Atlanta's hottest mom's..I mean photographers. :-) This project is going to be challenging, but WE are determined to finish!!
I am going to post pictures daily (hopefully) but if not daily, every 2 to 3 days. Wish us luck!!
This shot is of one of the many abandoned buildings in downtown Atlanta and happens to be across the street from my husband's job. I'm sure Atlanta isn't the only city with beautifully constructed architecture sitting next to dumps like this. Welcome to my hood!!
